Do you have a top tip for encouraging children to try new fruits?
For me, the best way to get kids to try new fruits is getting them involved with the process. Take them to the shop, pick fruits that are in season and ripe so the natural flavour is at its best and involve them in the preparation, washing, peeling, and cutting.
Then, partner this with something they are already familiar with – yoghurt works well as most kids love it, and it adds another healthy element to their diet. Ideally, keep it simple so the fruit’s flavour is able to complement it. With the great weather we are having, turning this into frozen ice lollies or bark not only creates a fun activity for kids to get involved in, but also offers welcome relief from the heat.
