As our dedicated Activities Manager, Holly has been busy dreaming up new ways for guests of all ages to make the most of their time at The Grove. With summer activities arriving early and plenty more to enjoy as the holidays begin, Holly shares her top ten picks for an unforgettable summer.

1. Everyman in the garden

Everyman In The Garden returns from 22 July to 6 September, Wednesday to Sunday. Grab your headphones and sink into a beanbag for open-air screenings of much-loved classics and new releases, with 8pm screenings and selected evening live performances. Plus, enjoy 4:30pm matinee family-friendly screenings on Friday to Sundays.

2. Outdoor pursuits

Feel the thrill of air rifle shooting** as you line up your shot and take on the ultimate test of precision with guidance from our team. Try your hand at archery** to perfect your aim, or unleash your competitive side with axe throwing**. With plenty of friendly rivalry along the way, these activities make the ultimate family challenge this summer. Our Mini Landies are also perfect for little explorers eager to take the wheel.

3. Splash-filled days

When the temperatures rise, there’s no better spot than our heated outdoor pool at Ralph’s beach. Make the most of sun-soaked days with games on the beach such as table tennis and shuffleboard, before cooling off with a refreshing dip. Why not upgrade your poolside lounging with our daybed packages – think comfy seating and delicious drinks and snacks.

4. August bank holiday

Head to the Walled Garden where we will have our very own fun fair. Expect classic stall games, circus skills, face painting and more. Families can also enjoy magical moments as talented performers take to the stage, captivating audiences with dazzling illusions, mind-bending tricks and interactive entertainment for all ages.

5. A pocket full of fun

Discover Pocket Towns, a charming miniature village, where children can explore, imagine, and play in their own tiny world of activity-filled towns.

6. Be creative with arts and crafts

Themed crafts take centre stage during our early summer activities. From animal and seaside crafts to marble ink dipping and mermaid & pirate crafts, the fun never ends in the beach pavilion. Guests can get creative with our beach bead bar – a colourful memory to take home with you.

Get ready for a summer of friendly competition. Hire a racket and ball to test your tennis skills, enjoy fast-paced onside football, or head to the greens for family golf with tips from one of our expert professionals.

Meet our friendly ponies and saddle up for a woodland ride. This experience is filled with fresh air, big smiles and unforgettable summer memories.

9. Let the games begin

Head to the Formal Gardens, where older kids and teens can enjoy table tennis, foosball or pool, or can take a break with one of our classic board games. It’s the perfect place to hang out, unwind and let the games begin.

10. Meet our jungle friends

Get up close with our wild friends at Scales and Tails – a hands-on creature encounter full of curiosity, fun facts, and critters such as snakes, spiders and frogs.
