Join us for the weekend and enjoy a traditional summer fête in our Walled Garden.  Let the kids get creative with summer crafts or show off their skills at our circus workshop. We’ll also have a roaming caricaturist and face painters ready to transform your little ones into their favourite animal or character.

Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire

Dive into the world of beloved children’s author Roald Dahl and discover the magic behind his bestselling books. On Friday 23 August, collect a map and embark on James’ Peachy Walk through the surrounding woods and countryside, exploring the locations that inspired Danny the Champion of the World and Fantastic Mr Fox. Or on Sunday 25 August, head out into the neighbouring woods and fields with the team and listen as they read extracts from the August chapter of My Year, Roald Dahl’s last book.

Fuego in the Woods The Grove, Hertfordshire

As part of our Summer of Discovery, we’ve created a magical limited-time woodland dining experience. On 23 and 26 August, take your seat at the large oak table in Asher’s Woodland, enjoying cava and canapés followed by a family-style Spanish feast cooked over wood-fired parrillas (the chistorra has our vote!). With live music and free-flowing drinks throughout the evening, it’s the perfect spot for your summer get-together with family and friends.

A Day out at Kew Gardens Kew, Richmond

See the impressive botanical installations, themed gardens and stunning floral displays at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Less than 30 minutes from central London and under an hour from The Grove, the UNESCO World Heritage Site is the perfect spot to soak up the sunshine over the August bank holiday weekend. And if you’re partial to a theatre show, linger a little longer and enjoy Kew’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which will take place each evening under the stars.

Don’t forget, we’ll be serving afternoon tea inspired by Kew Gardens from 2 September, with 10% of your tea price donated to the Kew Gardens rose garden project!

Bowie By Candlelight St. Albans Cathedral, St. Albans

For the music lovers among you, you won’t want to miss an incredible evening of Bowie anthems performed by The David Bowie Tribute Show at St. Albans cathedral. While immersed in candlelight, sing along to all the iconic classics including ‘Let’s Dance’, ‘Starman’, ‘Life on Mars’ and more.

Make it a weekend to remember with a stress-free break at The Grove.
