The Glasshouse
Hertfordshire has no shortage of stunning countryside to explore, and it’s all right on our doorstep. Along with our very own Asher’s Woodland Trails, we share our favourite local walks to enjoy this autumn.
An early morning stroll along our Wildlife Trail is a sure way to brighten your day. Developed in partnership with the Wildlife Trust, you’ll find nuthatches, woodpeckers and tree creepers. Leave the headphones at home, birdsong will fill your ears along this 1.92-mile trail.
One for the whole family to enjoy, our specially designed Musical Meander Trail is a fun way to keep the little ones entertained while getting some much-needed fresh air. At just over a mile long, you’ll discover Bamboo Bells, Woodland Drums, a Xylophone and more.
Accessible from our estate (on our four-mile cycle, jogging and walking trail) or from neighbouring Cassiobury Park, the Grand Union Canal promises a picturesque route whether you’ve planned an active afternoon or casual Sunday stroll.
Close by, Whippendell Woods can be found along Grove Mill Lane. Hidden within 165 acres of ancient woodland, tawny owls, deer and even bats can be spotted. Don’t forget towels and wellies for the little toes, or paws, that choose to paddle in the streams!
