Welcome to the Grove Laura! What makes HERE the perfect choice for a couple’s escape?

There’s something about The Grove that instantly makes you relax. It’s only 40 minutes outside of London but feels like a world away. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down together with long walks, slow breakfasts, a swim, or a glass of wine by the fire. It’s luxury without being pretentious, which makes it perfect for couples who just want to unwind, you can do as much or as little as you like.

Any quiet corners or scenic spots you discovered that couples will love?

We discovered a new quiet corner recently, have a coffee in The Library. It’s tucked away in a beautiful spot with lovely views of the grounds.

Which restaurant do you think is best for a special dinner?

We love The Stables, it’s cosy and relaxed, yet has a romantic feel with that countryside charm. I can’t not mention The Glasshouse’s famous buffet, it’s such a fun experience, and you get to try so many amazing dishes.

Are there any standout dishes or drinks you still think about?

Absolutely, the sushi at The Glasshouse and The Lounges is so fresh and delicious. You also can’t go wrong with the fish and chips at The Stables, and the house lemonade, so simple but so refreshing.

If you were planning a relaxed weekend itinerary, what would be on it?

I’d start with a slow morning, breakfast in The Glasshouse, followed by a walk through the grounds. Spend the afternoon at Sequoia Spa, then head to The Stables for dinner. If you can fit it in, Afternoon Tea in The Lounges is the cherry on top of a dreamy weekend away.

What spa treatments would you recommend during a getaway?

The Signature Massage is wonderful, it felt completely tailored to me and I never wanted it to end! Make sure to give yourself plenty of time afterwards for a swim and to enjoy the sauna and steam rooms.

what’s your top tip for couples planning a weekend at the grove?

Book your dinner and spa slots ahead of time, that’s all you really need to plan! You can go with the flow for the rest of your stay.

what’s a hidden gem you think first-time couples will love discovering The Grove?

The woodland trails are such a hidden gem, so peaceful and full of charm. They feel completely removed from everything, even though you’re just a short stroll from the main house. And if you’re feeling adventurous, check out the activity centre and hire bikes to explore further.
