How would you describe the Walled Garden in three words?

Definitely fun, relaxed, and holiday vibes.

What’s new in the Walled Garden?

We have massively uplifted the beach space with the daybeds. It’s a great addition if people want a little bit more comfort and more space to spend the day here during their stay.

The biggest addition that we have here is our new gazebo. We have an elevated food and drinks menu, and frozen cocktails. We have Frosé, Martinis, Mojitos, Margaritas and Piña Colada – I have to say that’s the most popular. We also have an amazing variety of sandwiches and wraps such as our Dry aged Hereford Beef Brisket and Mediterranean Veggie, as well as fresh salads for summer.

what can kids get up to this summer at the Walled Garden?

There are lots of activities for children including an indoor pool and activity centre at the end of the potting shed. The shed provides different activities for children throughout the day such as cookie making, colouring and creating different crafts which are available on weekends and holidays. Children can also enjoy our water sports such as basketball and water polo – perfect for a splash-filled day.

For those staying poolside, there are games on the beach such as Pool, Shuffleboard, Table tennis, and Table football.

How can guests make the most of the day at the walled garden?

At 10 o’clock, grab a towel, and find your chair or lounger. Enjoy a coffee, fruits and fresh pastries for breakfast and relax. You can enjoy the sunshine, with umbrellas nearby if you’d prefer a little shade.

Sequoia on the beach provides spa massages – it’s an amazing and relaxing setting.

Tuck in to some lunch at the Walled Garden with a glass of wine. You can dine by the poolside or Skewd, which is buzzing with people.

We have tennis courts by the beach for guests to stay active, and the return of Everyman in the Garden which opens in July for those wanting to grab a beanbag and relax with an evening film.

Go-to cocktails?

At the Gazebo, there are wines, Aperol spritz, and Pimm’s on tap, but the frozen cocktails are really popular.

I like a cold glass of wine but if I had to go for the frozen cocktails, I would choose the strawberry martini.

What are your poolside essentials?

Shady daybed or sun-soaked lounger?

Definitely the daybeds as they are very comfortable.

We offer a range of daybeds to suit your visit – each paired with thoughtful extras like fresh snacks, chilled drinks and a little indulgence when you fancy it.

What should a guest pack in their poolside bag?

Just bring yourself, your swimming costume and maybe a book. Everything else is here. We have towels, snacks, refreshments, sun cream, and shade.
