Natasha’s favourites for an Easter-ready garden
We caught up with Natasha, our Head Gardener, to share which flowers in The Grove’s gardens most signal that Easter has arrived and how you can recreate the same seasonal feel by planting them at home.
“Seeing and smelling the bluebells stretching in a sea of blue always makes me smile, and the scent is wonderful while listening to the busy calls of parent birds in the background. Another guilty pleasure is spotting the fronds of ferns beginning to unfurl – it’s a simple yet magical sign that spring, and Easter, has truly arrived.”
To recreate this spring feeling in your garden, Tash says to “upcycle a large galvanised tub, plant Narcissi ‘Paper Whites’, Muscari ‘Blue magic’ and add some sculptural wood to lay across the tub. Cover the surface with moss, adding in a tall fern, Dryopteris, toward the back and Asplenium scolopendrium at the front.”
