Spark imagination with pocket towns The inside scoop from our activities team

“We watch children assign roles, set prices and run their own little world from start to finish. It’s always buzzing.” says Holly Nelson, our Activities Manager. Pocket Towns gives children the chance to step into the UK’s first portable wooden role-play town, complete with a supermarket, café, hairdressers and doctors.

outdoor pursuits Competition, made enjoyable

“Once everyone’s got the hang of archery, that’s when the fun really starts,” says Aaron McElwee, one of our activity team leaders. “We’ll often finish with team challenges or friendly competitions. It gets surprisingly competitive, very quickly.” Archery is a firm favourite for families while for older children and adults, axe throwing adds an extra burst of adrenaline.

For younger guests, Mini Landies are always a highlight. “They love being in control. Driving their own Mini Landie around the estate gives them such a sense of independence and it’s a great way to explore outdoors.” Aaron adds.

Our Signature Massage is a guest favourite for a reason, and our new Natura Bissé facials launching 16 February will bring an added touch of indulgence for anyone craving a proper reset. “Whether it’s our Signature Massage or one of our rituals, even one treatment can leave you feeling completely refreshed for the rest of your stay.”

Family golf lessons What to expect from our PGA Professionals

“Our family lessons are all about confidence and fun,” explains Tom Minshull, our Head PGA Professional. “We focus on simple skills such as grip, stance and swing, but it always turns into games.” You might find yourselves aiming for targets, taking part in mini challenges, or cheering each other on as skills start to click. Many families love that it’s something they can learn together. It’s relaxed, supportive and a great way to try something new.
