The month of April has arrived, and with it comes the official start of the UK golf season. So, if you’ve avoided the fairway over the cold winter months and feel a tad out of practise, we’ll have you swinging like a pro in no time with our Head Golf Professional, Tom Minshull’s, top tips.

After a long winter, start by making sure you have a successful warm-up routine.

It’s natural to miss the green when you’re out of practise, but don’t make the same mistake most will with Tom’s greenside rescue tip.

 

When you start to feel the pressure, here’s something to remember when you’re within 100 yards of the flag.

If your game is a little rusty, you have to expect a less than perfect shot. Here’s Tom’s tip for when you have overhanging branches in your way.

Club selection is your friend if you are faced with a longer than normal greenside bunker shot. Keep the sand wedge in the bag and go for a stronger loft to reach the pin.
