Spa Members: Visionary Yoga Retreat

Join us for a yoga retreat with a difference as we welcome Julie, from Identity Yoga, who brings over 12 years of experience leading international retreats to The Grove. This retreat focuses on helping you realise and achieve your personal intentions, the perfect start to a new year. Through meditation, yoga, journalling and breathwork, you’ll be able to connect to your true vision. Julie is passionate about beneficially impacting the way we live and work and her extensive knowledge, humour and warmth helps retreat guests transform themselves. Her style of yoga is influenced by the Iyengar practice where classes are creatively and intelligently sequenced with focus on precise alignment.

This retreat, from £270 per person and includes a breakfast and dinner, is a chance for some much needed self-care. You’ll finish the retreat feeling rejuvenated and inspired thanks to Julie’s expertise in yoga and positive psychology approach to reveal your inner strength.

The Visionary Yoga Retreat itinerary:

Day 1 – Friday 9 February

  • 4.30pm: Unwind session. The first class of the retreat is a mindful movement class to release the tension of the week and travel. Settle in, clear energetic blocks and deepen the ability to feel and engage. A delicious yoga mix of hatha & slow vinyasa flow.
  • 6pm: Meet fellow retreat guests over drinks in the Library
  • 7pm: Dinner in The Glasshouse
  • 9pm: Yoga Nidra. The ultimate preparation for sleep. A meditation done in a comfortable, reclined position that methodically travels
    through the body and releases deep-seated stress.

Day 2 – Saturday 10 February

  • 7.30am: Intention session. A meditation to set the new year’s vision including journal prompts, qi-gong energy movement, breath work and discussion.
  • 9am: Breakfast in The Glasshouse
  • 11am: Clear the path. A powerful slow flow yoga class to help us connect to the intention we want to embody. Creative & intelligently sequenced flow with precise alignment focus to uncover inner strength.
  • 4pm: Restorative yoga. A yin style class with long healing holds to calm the central nervous system.

Day 3 – Sunday 11 February

  • 7.30am: Morning Meditation and Connecting to the path. A deeper exploration of how the movement on the mat connects to how we are in daily life. Skills practiced to enable inner vision and free us from cycles of behaviour in this Iyengar inspired vinyasa class. Create lasting commitment to wellbeing utilising the tools practiced over the weekend.

Meet Julie, Identity Yoga

Julie Ewald is a master yoga teacher that expertly guides you to live and work in their zone of excellence. Understanding that our behaviours on and off the mat are interwoven, she creates personalised programmes to banish burnout, optimise physical and mental health by using core yogic principles along with a positive psychology approach.

Julie is a native New Yorker, with her work taking her to multiple countries hosting retreats, including Greece, Spain, Morocco, Mexico, Northeast America, and now, the UK!
