Back on Black is the ultimate tournament experience at The Grove, set up as it was for the British Masters in 2016. The tournament is made up of four qualifying rounds, culminating in the Grand Final, playing off the ‘tips’ – giving you a full championship, competitive experience like no other.
Need to know:
Strokeplay format; 95% handicap (maximum 18.4); men black tees, ladies Grove tees; longest drive 9th hole & nearest the pin competition 16th hole.
As well as tournament entry, the £195 entry fee includes £5 donation to the Golf Foundation, a full English breakfast in The Players’ Lounge, 18 holes of golf and Taylormade goodies.

Qualifier 1 – Sunday 10 May
Qualifier 2 – Sunday 7 June
Qualifier 3 – Sunday 19 July
Qualifier 4 – Sunday 16 August
Qualifier 5 – Sunday 13 September
Final – Sunday 11 October
Qualify for a prize-filled grand finale
The top five players in each qualifier (including ties) will be invited to compete in the Back on Black 2026 Grand Final taking place on Sunday 11 October 2026.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st – 3rd place in each qualifier.
