Estate to plate


Our globe-trotting Executive Chef, Stephen Wheeler, has cooked his way across the world, garnering recipes and techniques and bringing them home to The Grove. His travels, especially in Asia, inspired this atmospheric concept. A fusion of culture and provenance, you can expect international dishes with the freshest produce from our very own Jemima’s Kitchen Garden.

The new a la carte style Glasshouse restaurant will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner for hotel guests. Our chefs have also crafted a children’s menu, which should please even the fussiest of diners

The Glasshouse is open to non-residents for dinner on Sunday – Thursday and for lunch on Saturday – Sunday, subject to availability and depending on hotel occupancy levels.

Breakfast Menu

Breakfast is available exclusively for hotel guests from 7 – 10am daily, and is priced at £28 per person.

Sample menu

  • The Grove English Breakfast
    Back bacon, Cumberland sausage, black pudding, portobello mushroom, plum tomato, hash browns, baked beans and scrambled, poached or fried egg
  • The Grove Vegetarian Breakfast
    Homemade falafel, sautéed spinach, portobello mushroom, plum tomato, hash browns, baked beans and scrambled, poached or fried egg
  • Eggs Benedict, Royal or Florentine
  • Pancakes or waffles, served with Nutella or maple syrup
  • Smoked Kippers with herb buttered sourdough and poached eggs
  • Omelette with a choice of fillings
  • Smashed avocado on toast, poached eggs with Jemima’s Kitchen herbs
  • Smoked salmon with scrambled egg on toasted sourdough, served with garden chives
  • Mushrooms on toast, served with a fried duck egg

Our a la carte menu is available exclusively for hotel guests from 5-8pm on Friday and Saturday’s.

  • Antipasti platter for two: Chicken liver parfait with truffle butter, beef carpaccio, Iberico ham, grilled flatbread, sourdough, homemade pickles, roasted seasonal vegetables and fig chutney £22.00
  • Pheasant salad with clementine, winter leaves, prosciutto and balsamic £12.50
  • Cured salmon with kitchen garden cress and caviar with an avocado dressing £12.50
