The new normal at Sequoia spa

Gym & Studio

In order to allow users to safely exercise, we have spaced out and relocated some of the gym equipment to the studio. There will be a maximum of 12 people allowed in the gym at any one time.

Sessions are split into 45 min sessions throughout the day and must be booked in advance to ensure a 15 minute turnaround time for the spa team to sanitise the area.

Pool

Due to social distancing measures and pool capacity limits, swimming sessions must be booked in advance.

Sessions are split into 45 min sessions throughout the day to allow a 15 minute turnaround time for the spa team to sanitise the area.
Please be aware that only 2 people will be able to use the poolside Jacuzzi at a time.

The vitality pool, steam rooms and sauna are currently closed but plan to safely re-open them from 17 May.

Classes

There will be a maximum of 12 people per class and all classes will need to be pre-booked.

Changing Facilities

We are continuing to ask members to get ‘swim or gym’ ready at home as changing facilities will only be available to guests who need to redress after using the pool.

Please note, changing facilities can only be used within your allocated 45 minute swim booking time – so we ask that you factor this in when planning your sessions.

Updated government guidance means that changing rooms require increased sanitation and ventilation between usage. Therefore, the only way for us to safely open these areas is to close them for 15 minutes every hour.

Members using the changing rooms will need to vacate the area from quarter past to half past where a member of the team will do the necessary cleaning and open all the doors to circulate air flow before the next session. Please be advised that this will be undertaken by both female and male attendants.

For us to be able to do this and not have to keep the changing facilities closed, we ask that only members using the swimming pool use the changing rooms until such time when two meter social distancing inside and changing facilities rules are relaxed. We would kindly ask that you follow this for everyone’s safety.

Spa Treatments

Spa treatments can be booked online via our new members portal or by calling 01923294294.

Prior to your visit you will be asked to complete an electronic consultation form which will need to be returned 24 hrs before your treatment. If any medical concerns are highlighted, a member of the Sequoia Therapy team will contact you to discuss.

We ask that you arrive no more than 10 mins before your treatment commences. Your therapist will collect you from the waiting area and escort you to your sanitised treatment room. You will be asked to sanitise your hands prior to the treatment.

During the treatment your therapist will be wearing personal protection equipment; this will consist of a disposable apron mask and visor.

Between each treatment, the treatment rooms are stripped of all linen used and thoroughly sanitised.

At the end of your treatment you will be able to rest in our relaxation room for up to 30 minutes.
