Platinum Jubilee Weekend

To celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, we’ll be throwing the ultimate British garden party in our beautiful Walled Garden from Thursday 2 – Sunday 5 June. Clear a space in your diary, pick your party outfit (extra points for those sporting red, white and blue!) and join us for the biggest celebration of the year!

Walled Garden Activities

The Jubilee weekend has us reliving many fond memories of past royal street and garden parties, so you can expect a right royal celebration like no other when you join us. We’ve carefully curated the weekend’s agenda to include a whole host of exciting stalls and monarchy-themed entertainment within the Walled Garden.

Traditional party games

What’s a party without a little entertainment? We’ll have a range of fun and traditional party games for the kids including hula hooping, French skipping, hop scotch, snakes and ladders, jump rope, hand stand competitions and two balls up a wall!

Fairground Sweets

Expect all of your favourite fairground sweets, from fluffy candy floss to popcorn.

Arts & Crafts

For the little creatives we’ll have a range of monarchy-themed arts and crafts activities each day. On Thursday there will be a crown and jewellery making session as well as a make-your-own Queen’s Guards and Jubilee flag workshop. From Friday until Sunday we’ll be running a magical balloon fairies workshop! Let the kids play as royalty for the day on Thursday in our giant Windsor Castle playhouse. The question is, who will be Queen?

Face Painting and Entertainers

As you wander around the Walled Garden you’ll most likely bump into one of our expert face painters, who will happily paint your little one’s face in vibrant shades of red, white and blue! We’ll also have a professional balloon modeller on the Friday and a caricaturist on Saturday.

Our Outdoor Pursuits

We’ll also have all of our outdoor pursuits running, including archery, laser clay and Segways, perfect for both kids and adults as well as our exciting kids camps such as Tree Climbing and Mud & Guts Bush Craft Camps.

Pop-up Bars & BBQ

All great parties offer a delicious selection of refreshments. Over the Jubilee Weekend you can expect a variety of pop-up bars and food options.

  • We’ll have a BBQ offering tasty bites in the Walled Garden throughout the weekend.
  • What’s a Bank Holiday weekend without a glass of fizz? Hambledon Vineyard is a small family-run vineyard creating some of the very best English sparkling wine and you’ll be able to visit their pop-up bar over at The Glasshouse terrace.
  • When the sun is shining, it’s always Pimms o’clock. Find our pop-up Pimms bar in the Walled Garden all weekend.
  • Be sure to sample our brand new The Grove Gin, created in partnership with the fantastic Puddingstone Distillery and our The Grove Beer in each of our bars.

Introducing Verde Kitchen

We’re thrilled to be introducing our newest summer pop-up restaurant, Verde Kitchen, in the luscious surroundings of the Walled Garden. Inspired by the cuisine of Naples and Campania whilst championing the finest British produce and ingredients from Jemima’s Kitchen Garden, the menu offers a mouth-watering selection of freshly made pasta and Neopolitan-style pizza – a perfect choice on a balmy summer’s day.
