Things to do during the Easter Holidays
26 March 2021 / Families /
Spring has arrived, the end of lockdown is in sight and it’s not long until we can welcome you back for a well overdue stay. However, as everything isn’t quite back to normal in time for the school holidays, we thought you may need a little inspiration when it comes to entertaining the kids over the next few weeks. Here are our suggestions for a fun-filled Easter break.
Boat trips at The Runnymede
Our sister hotel, The Runnymede on Thames, is located on the banks of the River Thames and from 12 April, they have brand-new riverboats available for private hire. Sail in style before returning to their outdoor terrace for drinks and ice cream!
Activities at The Grove
Though we may not be open for overnight stays just yet, we are delighted that our outdoor activities are up and running during the Easter holidays. But be quick, spaces are limited and they are filling up fast!
Willow’s Activity Farm
One of our favourite local farms, Willow’s Activity Farm re-opens from 12 April so you can give little ones something to look forward to this Easter holiday.
English Heritage’s Easter Adventure Quests
Between 29 March and 18 April, head to Kenwood, an English Heritage site that is hosting an outdoor Easter Adventure Quest. Explore the outdoor trails, crack the clues and search for dragon eggs to win your chocolate reward.
Easter Trail at Ashridge Estate
Another outdoor Easter trail, follow Alice down the rabbit hole and into the beautiful private gardens at Ashridge House. You will be given clues to locate Alice and her friends within Ashridge’s magical gardens and woodlands. Tickets are available from 29 March – 11 April 2021.
