Back by popular demand is The Beach at The Grove. Nestled in our wonderful walled garden and surrounded by picture perfect white picket fencing, it has its very own beach bar, beach huts, volleyball court and at centre stage, The Grove Tipi, making it the perfect place to spend family time or me time. Located alongside our heated outdoor pool, tennis courts, croquet lawn and Pavilion bar and with sun loungers and deck chairs aplenty, you'll have more than enough to keep you occupied all day long!

Our exclusive, high-tech beach huts offer a serene sanctuary with eclectic interiors. Each one features a 42" plasma TV, iPods and XBox 360's! There's even a dedicated Sequoia spa beach hut, where you can indulge yourself with one of our exclusive beach treatments.

The Grove Tipi takes centre stage on the beach  and in true groovy-grand style has been accesorised by designer Martin Hulbert. It is available for private use as a chic chill-out lounge for all the family.

As well as being able to enjoy all the five star sand, style and service of the beach this summer, there will be some exciting new addtions to keep you entertained this year.

Punch and Judy


The enduring British seaside favourite, featuring the anarchic Punch and his wife Judy will be entertaining guests at The Grove in May, July and August.

Sand Sculptor in residence


Mark Anderson, sand sculptor will be building a sand creation especially for The Beach giving children a chance to pick up a few tips ahead of The Grove's 'Great Sandcastle Competition' on Sunday 17th August!

Once you've worked up an appetite on the tennis court, in the pool or on the volleyball court you won't have far to go to sate your thirst or hunger!

Drinks and light refreshments are served all day from The Beach bar hut and there is a delicious new food menu available at the Pavillion bar served from 11am. We will also be preparing Beach barbeques throughout the summer, as well as offering a tempting selection of beach cocktails.

Access to the Walled Garden is limited to  hotel residents, Sequoia Walled garden members and their guests. Beach hut and Tipi bookings can be made via reservations by hotel residents and Walled Garden members only.To guarentee use, the Tennis courts, Croquet lawn and Volleyball court can be booked in advance. Walled Garden opening times are Mon - Thur 09:00 - 18:00 and Fri - Sun 09:00 - 19:00.
