Spa & Walled Garden

Q. Can a membership be suspended for a period of time?
A. Yes, between 3 and 6 consecutive months, subject to paying a monthly suspensions fee.

Q. Do you have a swim only membership?
A. No our membership includes use of all the facilities.

Q. Do you have an off-peak membership?
A. No our membership is for use anytime during our opening hours.

Q. Can I bring my children to swim in the pool?
A. Children over the age of 8 can swim in the Sequoia pool at restricted times during the day, subject to a small fee.  Children under the age of 8 are not permitted to use Sequoia pool but may use the indoor pool located next door to Anouska's, behind the Walled Garden, at any time.

Q. Can I play tennis?
A. Social tennis is on our studio timetable once per week, but if you want to play tennis more frequently then you would need to buy a Walled Garden Membership.

Q. Can I purchase membership to the Walled Garden only?
A. No, you must be a Sequoia member to be considered for Walled Garden Membership.

Q. Can I just come and use the spa facilities without having treatments?
A. If you’re staying at the hotel, use of the facilities is provided free of charge during your entire stay. If you’re not staying as a guest, you would need to book one of our day spa experiences.

Q. Can I come as a Day Spa Guest at the weekend?
A. No, Day Spa experiences are only available from Monday to Friday.

Q. Can I come in just for a single treatment?
A. Only if you are staying in the hotel.

Q. What products do you use?
A. All of our face and body treatments use ESPA products.

Q. How do I book spa treatments?
A. Contact spa reservations directly on 01923 294294.

Q. Can I cancel my booking once it has been made?
A.  Bookings for hotel residents can be cancelled without charge up to 24 hours before and for Day Spa guests 72 hours before.

Q. Can I buy gift vouchers for Sequoia?
A. Gift vouchers are available for any of our Day Spa experiences. Vouchers can only be redeemed Monday to Friday.

Q. Do you have to be a member or staying in the hotel to use the Walled Garden?
A.  The walled garden is open all year round with the Gazebo and Outdoor Pool open between May and September.   You must be staying in the hotel or be a Spa Walled Garden member to use these facilities.

Q. What are the Potting Sheds and what were they before?
A. The Potting Sheds are now used as a comfortable lounge and dining area during the summer, and also used for many functions.  Often the functions have a marquee attached to the front of the potting sheds, allowing for more guests to attend.  

The original function of the Potting Sheds was to grow fruit and plants that need extra warmth, much like a modern day greenhouse.  Much of the original wall still remains along with many of the fixtures and fittings, and what has been rebuilt was build in the same shape and size as the original building.
