Just a few of our favourite things
Walk around The Grove luxury resort and spot these fabulous
pieces of art!
-
Giant ornaments
Around the trees in the formal garden… giant walnuts, apples and
pears created by The Landscape Ornament Company in Wiltshire.
-
Shattered light bulbs
In the Donneraile room… shattered light bulbs by James
Armstrong.
-
Giraffe
On the mansion house staircase… Giraffe photographed at London
Zoo and superimposed on a shot of the Richmond Observatory, by
Nicky Coutts.
-
Pumpkins
In Colette’s restaurant… Pumpkins by Antonia Williams.
Commissioned especially for the space by interior Designer Martin

-
Horses
In the lobby… sculpture of horses by Lucy Poett. Inspired by the
fact that the famous landscape painter George Stubbs used to walk
from his Edgware home to The Grove, where he would paint the
Clarendon horses.
-
Woven Ball
In the lobby… woven ball, purchased from a shop in Paris called
Van der Stratten.
-
The Sun Catchers
In the water garden…. “The Sun Catchers”. Sparkling open flower
glass sculptures on great metal stalks, that ‘grow’ out of the
water in the water garden, by Neil Wilkin. Watch out for his Glass
Tree, hung with glass hearts – the centrepiece of the formal
gardens. All commissioned by us.
-
Blue lounge
In the ‘blue’ lounge… the Blue Chandelier was salvaged from
Martin’s friend’s garage and restored. He designed the blue lounge
around this centrepiece.
-
Glass link pieces
In the piano lounge and Presidential Suite… glass link pieces
hanging on the wall. These were discovered by Martin, hanging as
ornaments in the window of the Ferrari Car Showroom in Milan.
Martin drove past and thought they would look perfect in The Grove,
walked in and negotiated.

Nathalie Decoster's sculptures
Outside… Nathalie Decoster’s serene sculptures use recycled

contrasting with giant shapes representing infinity.
